SWRAA have engaged Dominica Tannock to help our group understand the legal options we have available to us to protect our landscape, community, environment, health, and financial security. Dominica will advocate on our behalf and prosecute our concerns if necessary. Dominica has vast experience in windfarm litigation.
In 2022 Dominica was successful in Uren V Bald Hills Windfarm PTY LTD, a landmark case, which resulted in the company being ordered to pay damages to the plaintiffs and to stop emitting night-time noise.
In 2023, Dominica worked on the Environmental Effects Statement, and Planning Inquiry for the Willatook Wind Farm, the inquiry’s findings led to the planning minister making significant recommendations to the company, which have led to the project stalling.
