Health

Physical and mental health implications.

Stress, anxiety and depression due to a combination of:

  • Having to fight the project, which is a time consuming, costly and mentally taxing process.

  • Thinking about the future of living in or near a wind-factory and spaghetti powerlines.

  • Losing friends due to the divisive nature of the project.

  • Potentially seeing the environment destroyed.

  • A direct result of wind turbines - see explanation below.

Those living within close proximity to turbines may also suffer from 'Turbine sickness' as a result of turbine noise. The symptoms of which can include, but are not limited to, tinnitus, migraines, sleep issues, anxiety and depression.

The wellbeing of those living close by to turbines may also be affected by the visual and acoustic impact of such large turbines, with the latter being known to cause sleep problems; it is accepted that there are a range of health issues associated with sleep deprivation.
